What's an ideal active userbase for a forum after the first year?
What would you say an ideal active userbase would be after one year for an internet forum? How many active users should it have in order for it to be considered sustainable?
Had to say,i would not tell if a forum isbmaking money or not and how much.Unless i was having access to the revenue reports. The thing is that a forum needs to concentrate more on traffic that is from tier one if you are to earn through the ads revenue.i believe endorcements and major deals with advertisers is the best way for a forum to be sustainable.
Recently, one of my forums reached one year, it has just 30 members and 1000 posts. I think having at least 100 members and 10k posts would have been an ideal userbase and post count.
Each forum varies, after a year I would consider it viable with around 100 members and 10,000 posts but that varies with every forum and the niche of the site as well.
For something that is a popular niche the numbers above would be ideal or maybe more after a year. Niches that are not so popular though would be different.
