Yes this is the best thing to do, all you can do is to simply state out your opinion, he would be the one to decide if he should go ahead with yours or still stick to his. The most important thing is that you have said your mind about the issue.
It is always good whenever a business owner is open to other people's ideas because in the end he is going to make use of them to boost his business to be doing better.
For me I would try as much as possible to get along with my boss and never ever to disagree with them. I have nothing to loose on the workplace other than obeying on whatever I am instructed for me to make the salaries.
Yes if you do not get along the business would not be able to grow and move forward as it should. There would definitely be difference in terms of ideas and the likes. But both parties needs to find a way to work together.
Seriously it is always going to be detrimental to the person when they are trying to over push it which is why it is not something I am going to encourage.
Yeah, that's it, you opinion may be the best approach but may not go well with the boss or even hit the boss in a hard way if it's a truth that it's bitter to him.Thus, to save you of your job , keeping quiet if not asked ,is the best.
I believe it also depends on the situation at hand though. In most cases keeping quite might not be the best option. I believe if you are able to saying your mind calmly, it should not cause any real issue.
If you find it very difficult to get along with your boss, it is only going to get you sacked from the job which is something that you have to work on so that you don't have problem there.

If they are not going to give you the room to do so I believe that you should not force it otherwise you're going to suffer the consequences of doing that.
As far as I'm concerned you don't have any business with disagreeing with your boss especially when your opinion is not even asked.
