Why are CPM rates for videos much higher?

It is very difficult to make money from a website which mainly has text content, usually they are paying $0,05 only for 1000 page views or less in some cases. In contrast the CPM rates for youtube videos are much higher. What is the reason why the CPM rates for videos are much higher than text content?

I don't really know there reason but I would say that because videos passes more messages than text or banners

CPM rates depend on the traffic location as well as the ad network and advertisers' rates. Some advertisers pay higher for certain niches, and when you have content on that niches, you will earn better.
