Why businesses should never pause operations.

It is theoretically believed that business should continue operating for eternity irrespective of what happens in future. But in reality, it is not possible. There are many businesses who had closed down. Many old factories had been converted into churches in Nigeria. Business is not as usual. The closure could as a result of mismanagement.
Consistency is very important in business and that is why you must try not to put your business operation to a halt at any moment in time.
I totally agree with you, a business should never be paused, that is if the owner intends to last long doing the business, provisions should always be provided for shift for workers and it should be rotational, so that whenever a customer comes he or she will meet someone who will attend to their needs.
This is the simple truth when they come to do in any kind of business because that is always competition that you are going to struggle with and the moment you go out of business, they will take over.
It is the wish of workers not to see their companies pause operations because they too would be affected especially in a country that is hard to get another job. Everybody would be prayerful not to have experience such scenario.

A business that suddenly pauses operations is considered as a business that is not serious. I always tell business to plan well so they won't have to be pausing and restarting.
It usually reduces the kind of patronage business ventures gets. Pausing operation will probably make competitors to get ahead of them.
It is very sensitive that even closing your shop for one day can make you lose customers. That's why businesses don't even allow stock to finish completely before they reorder.
Probably, if you pause operations your customers can find better alternatives. This simply means that you're going to lose them.
The alternatives might not even be better than you but customers love stability. They love it that when they need a product, they can get it right at the time they need it.
Nobody can refer others to those kind of businesses that like to pause operations. It would not be nice that you referred someone and the person can't even find the business operators on ground.
When a business pauses operations, it gives the competition the chance to gather momentum to go above it.
Business should move continuously, rather it may face very severe consequences. I have normal general store business but whenever I close my shop for more than one day, customers start moving to other shop. Basically I felt that they just care about their ease and comfort.
