Why do people reneged on agreement

What are the reasons why people reneged on the agreement they had initially agreed to. What made you do same?

For some it could be out of greed, then in some cases it could be that they where not aware of what they where going into from the beginning.

I think one reason may be the person has not given careful consideration to some issues when signing the agreement. Another reason could be s(he) has found a better deal.

I hope they do it because they needed to. For me, I would not if things are not agreeable to sign it.

Interests, perceptions, understanding, priorities every thing change, therefore, people have hard times sticking to previous agreement.

People sometimes back out of agreements for reasons like changing circumstances, hidden information coming to light, or simply having second thoughts. In my own case, if I ever reneged, it was likely due to new factors arising that made the original agreement no longer viable or advisable. However, I always aim to carefully consider commitments before making them to avoid breaking promises unnecessarily.
