Debit card can keep you stranded . In Nigeria, sometimes the network is down and you will not be able to find means to return to your base.

Finally I ran across a comment written by someone with more than half a brain. Paying cash is like throwing your money in the street. Maybe it's because I live in the United States, but I get offers every day from Credit Card Issuers bribing me with cash money in many forms if I use their card for my purchases. All I do is stay disciplined enough to pay the entire balance every month so I NEVER pay interest and it's like having my own little money machine that hands me free money every month in bonuses and rebates. They also give me statements so it can't be any easier to keep track of my spending. It all comes down to understanding money and what motivates businesses to give it to you.
