Why is media not impartial?

It is election time now in India and it is sad to see channels clearly taking sides. Media is supposed to be impartial but I do not see that these days. That could be an indicator that parties pay these Sites to sing their praises.

The notion that media should be impartial is wrong. Do you mean media should be impartial even when when it comes to terrorism?

TV Channels are only supposed to report and not give opinions. What locus standi does an anchor have to give their opinion on any topic?

This is what is obtainable now even in my country. They get paid and they become very partial which is so wrong

Media can have opinions. But when they do the reporting, they should report the facts. I am not surprised that media nowadays do take sides because they need sponsors too.

Anchors are like parrots saying what the Channel owners want them to say and you are right Channels get paid by these parties.
