That is normal for a busiess to have a warranty because they also do not know if there is a factory defect. They can also return the product to the factory for a replacement.

It is true. Warranty is an insurance against undetected factory faults. I remember those days of the exploding Samsung phones. The warranty is what the company capitalized on to call back the phone from the market and replace them.

I also experienced the same buying a product, an appliance then when it reached home it did not work so returned it. It was replaced right away. But I let them do the testing many times. Warranty in business is a must.

I have come to realize that, despite offering warranties, some companies are not intent on exchanging unacceptable products. The basis for my conviction is that these firms use the most minute of excuses to refuse to exchange a products that do not meet customers' expectations.

A good warranty or return policy can boost sales by giving customers confidence in the product they are purchasing. Customers are more likely to purchase a product if they know they can return or exchange it if it does not meet their expectations or is defective.
Yeah, one of the reason why customers think twice before deciding to buy from a particular business owner is this, I also do this a lot because I don't like anything that would lead to issue between me and anyone.

I once bought a phone under warranty and all of a sudden, it stopped touching and they company fixed it for me free of charge. That made me to fall in love with the company till I still patronize them now.

Business warranty assures the customers replacement of any defective products sold after some days of using the item like TV. And even in the clothes section, if there's a warranty you request for a replace in daw there's defect.
