When a business makes orders for supplies, it is important that the business that placed the order should cross check the products delivered before offloading and stocking. It would help to ensure that the ordered quantity is supplied and no defective products are supplied.

For confirmation if the quantity supplied matches to that invoiced. That would allow the business managers to minimize unnecessary mistakes with the inventory system.

It is part of doing quality control. It needs to be checked to see if there are any damages and the like. We cannot afford to invest in these things. In this way, we can know how consistent the suppliers are in supplying their products to their customers. It should be done religiously.

There are actually people that are always so much in a hurry that they don't do due diligence to ensure that everything is counted to be complete. Some trust people just too much.
I do not think there are people who do not actually tally the purchase bills with the actual goods received.

That is an assurance that the products delivered to you are complete, no damage, no breakage and items complete. You have to take shots of the items you check to have a proof just in case.
