Question Word counter in comment box doesnt work.

I don't know if this problem is faced by me or by everyone here. When we type our comment in the box the counter doesn't work. But when we post our comment and then edit it, it works. @Jordan need to check as I cannot see the number of words I am writing in my post.

What is the phone you use? Have you tried another alternative just to see?

I use vivo 1933. No I have not checked it on other phone or computer.

it seems is your browser I'm seeing the word counter on mine now . As I typed mine has been counting. this post is about 44 words as stated here by my counter. So I think it should be the browser you are using.

@Sanjee, I think it was just a problem with your browser you are using (regardless of device). I've used both my desktop computer and phone to post here at RIF, and it counts while I type my messages in both.

Could be because of the old android OS. If you have the latest android in any of your phone even if it's a family member you can check because in my case the word counter works everytime.

Let me change the browser and check the same. I need to have a work counter as that helps me to write at least 40-50 words on a post.

A person could install word counter extension then copy paste the text. I doesn't see a need for try another phone as most of us have only one mobile phone.

I do it sometimes but cannot follow it all the time when site has provided is the word counter. I will try another browser and see.

Try to use Brave Browser and then check if the problem persist it could be google chrome or microsoft edge problem or something like that. Do not forget to set protection to basic in Brave Browser Shields for the all three options.
