When there is a new product in the market, do you believe what ever a celebrity says about the product or do you believe in your friend? It is most likely that you will believe what your friend says because she is a real person. This is the reason why word of mouth continues to be one of the best marketing method. However, the question is does word-of-mouth advertising have any role in building brand awareness and customer loyalty?

The word of mouth kind of advertising still remains the best one. The downside part of it is that it's very slow in reaching the target audience for that matter.

Word-of-mouth advertising is definitely a form of advertising that I trust more than a celebrity advertising a business or a product.

Celebrities are often paid and told what to say in hopes that those that see the advertising will believe them and jump at the chance to get hold of the product.

Listening to your friends who will have tried the product and will have an opinion on the product tends to be more reliable.

FC works on worf od mouth advertising. They don't invest almost nothing in advertising (at start they did but not anymore). Fergal trust users can bring other loyalty users on site and help community. Even I see many ban users lately.

Word of mouth advertising is still very much effective as it use to be back then, but people tend to look down on it and rely on only the use of social media and the likes.

It helps to save money on advertising so you pay a commission for people who refer people to your program and nothing else. Then you pay them a percentage for referring people under themselves for example.

Word of mouth advertising from a friend is most reliable than ads shown on TV. Our friend tested the product while on TV, there's guarantee if the product has no bad effect unlike already tested by our friend.
