Work vacation or work-free holiday

If you worked a job where you potentially had to be "on call" during your off time, which would you choose if you are able. A working vacation or work-free holiday?

I prefer a vacation. For 12 years I spent summer vacation in Auckland. This time no more.

I definitely prefer a work free vacation. When I travel, I do not want to think or worry about my work. I want to get refreshed and relaxed.

I also do think that it is best to do this. I do not want to be always hooked at my work. We need also some time off in life.

Yes I have been working for a long time, it would be really nice to just relax for once and not have to worry about work or anything else.

For me l would go for the free vacation. I would like to be off when l out of work for that reason.
