Worshipping the universe and not God

I hear a lot of people talk about the universe but not God. Which is the one to be worshipped, the universe or God?

The problem is that it is difficult to differentiate between the two. I believe that nature is one of the way which God use to manifest its presence. No man have seen God, therefore most naturalists are seeing God through universe.
