Running a business is not that easy at all. There are many business owners who would want to be strict. However, being strict can sometimes damage your business rather than improving it! So, as a business owner, how lenient you are when it comes to dealing with your employees?

Yeah people just have to be kind to one another. We are a humans before having the titles attached to it.
I try to give people the benefit of doubt. I don't give up on people. I have had to employ many people in my life, I only fired just one of them.
Sometimes, been strict can not make workers to be productive. In most cases, it use to be counterproductive.

Been strict may be counterproductive and affect the company adversely. There is need to balance it. A business owner must know how react to challenges according to the degree of offence. Don't overreact, try to be in control

One could use a carrot-and-stick approach. You can not be too strict or be too soft in handling the business.
I think the best thing is to set down rules and guild lines, then let does working with you know does are the rules you work with. That way they would prepare themselves and not see you as strict when you carry out actions based on those rules.
Creating rules and guidelines that will guide the conduct of workers is extremely important and that will be followed strictly.
Indeed it would create some sense of seriousness as well
You should be lenient and also you shouldn't be too soft when you're handling business activities.
You said it right. We can never be lenient all the time. There are some employees that will take advantage the situation. The worse part is they will abuse our kindness and they will not do their jobs well. In their minds, committing mistakes is fine.
as long as they do a good job, i will not give them a hard times, though. I used to be employe ones, so i know that is not easy being it, as long as the job done ontime i will not see a little mistake that they did.
If your employees are doing the needed job there is no need for you to give them hard times. All you need to do is to provide an enabling environment and be friendly as possible to make them continue.
