The advantages if you trade on the marketplace, it's no different from renting an outlet in a supermall, the market has been formed, lots of visitors, it's easier to start, no need to do big promotions, the system is available from courier to delivery of goods. But if you have your own online store, you are in full control of all the rules, both delivery of goods, payments, etc.
Even though the marketplace has several advantages, it also has disadvantages, such as a high level of competition so that a price war will occur which will make the profit margin smaller. You also can't do retargeting or get repeat customers.
Selling from your own store would always be the best, but then before you start, you need to learn the skills of managing such websites and maintaining it, you can train yourself and with time you will get comfortable with it.
