if such becomes the case then you have to take a legal action. It is a criminal offence for a customer to refuse to pay you your money.
Yea that's the best cost of action but most business owners might not want to do this when they would consider the amount they would spend for this process.

As a businessman the best thing to do is that a customer should pay before taking any product. giving your products on credit is not advisable

You will come across multiple of customers that promises and fail in your businesses and it shouldn't be a new thing.
Yes, I think as a business man you should be optimistic but you also need to expect some kind of failures. When you expect some failures and it happens you will really not be so much bothered.
