Most business owners and managers when look for potential employees tend to focus on does who are problem solvers, though this quality is good but i believe it is also important to have does who are able to spot problems as well. It would be impossible to be able to offer solutions to a problem if you are not aware there is a problem in the first place.

This is a very good take. But also to the business owners' credit, it is really difficult for business owners to employ people who are problem spotters because there tends to be a very small amount of people that have such skills in the business world. None the less, having such people with these skills will allow for smoother sailings for business and lead to lesser problems or problems of only small magnitudes.

If you employ people that are critical thinkers, you already have the problem spotters in your business. Those ones look at things beyond the face value and dig deep into it to know it's potential benefits and limitations.

This is a very good take. But then it's actually much easier to spot problem than to find solution to problem, even if you tend to ignore and do work the normal way problems will always show up and the need to find solution to the problem arises .

I think it is not easy to spot a problem because they were times when you never can tell what exactly the problem is or where the problem is coming from.

Sure, they really need to be rewarded for doing such a great job , spotting problems is tantamount to getting close to high functionality of the business as every loop holes in the business are being identified and solved.
