We can apply for time off if we are a regular full-time employee but if not, there is no pay during your off. It is good also because there is pay during your vacation.

indeed, last December I started again working in a big company and sure, I have to make time to read all the rules and lucky me, my company has a policy that we have to finish the job at the office and there's no extra time. So, I have to make sure every job finishes on time. And after work hours they never call me for works things

There are many things to consider before applying for time off one is whether you will get paid despite you are on leave. If not, it is better not to proceed with your plan because the more suffering you will face once you come back to your workplace.

That is right. Make sure that the credit is available to ensure that leave is paid.
That second part is all up to the person taking the leave. Whether to endure the toxic work after the vacation. Lol

Yes, but if it's the decision of the worker to file leave without pay, it's his or her prerogative as long as her application for a job off is approved by the head.

my store run by my wife. And before we decided to take another job, she learned to run the shop by herself, and lucky us, we had a helper to run the shop. So, no need to worry about my shop. we have loyal customers, so we can not close it. Thank God everything running well and my wife enjoys being a businesswoman and earning money from it. So, we have another source of income and it is good tho, right? I wish my business and my work run well and I need the money LOL. and everyone needs it, right?

I am a freelancer who works from home, so I can take a break whenever I wish. I can work on a flexible schedule. I can work during the day or at night. Therefore, whenever I have work to do, I always bring my laptop along with me.

I do not have the luxury to take time off from my work. I always carry my phone and laptop.
That's the lot of people that are working online. As far as the laptop is with them, they can't resist the urge to work. I am in that shoe too. I deliberately take my mind off and rather use the laptop to watch movies.
