A lot of people ask for donations on their websites, in my early days I also was asking for donations. I managed to collect some donations which helped me to recover my investment as well as pay for the website running cost.

I never ask donations from other people, except if there is a fundraising event. I did it with my colleagues before.

I was not talking about charity, I was mainly talking about asking for donations on website as a monetization method

I have never done that and it is never my wish to do something like that but we never can tell what the future holds but I don’t wish for it though

No, I have never asked for donations online or offline, also I have never donated anyone online. I feel people who ask donations online are scammers.

It's very rarely for me to ask for donations. Maybe on specific occasions that would involve the raising of too much money .

I have never sought donations through my website, but there is nothing wrong with it. It is something people can do, especially if they genuinely need it.
