Do you ask for donations?

A lot of people ask for donations on their websites, in my early days I also was asking for donations. I managed to collect some donations which helped me to recover my investment as well as pay for the website running cost.

I was not talking about charity, I was mainly talking about asking for donations on website as a monetization method
