There are times that applicants can pretend to be competent in business-related jobs. In fact, they are not competent enough to perform their duties and responsibilities. It happens if they present a lot of certificates, but we have not seen their work performances.

I think nowadays most people don't care for that. Unless the government sectors would be strictly on the check.

Competency is extremely important in every business. If I am hiring someone, they have to be competent so they won't ruin my business.

You might fool your employer by lying during the interview or on CV but ultimately you cannot do it for long. You need to be skilled

I don't do certificates as a basis for employing someone. That era has passed as certificates are very cheap for anyone to own nowadays.
