I think there is no conflict between self love and love your partner. You can be yourself and have a sweet relationship with your partner.
You are right. Loving oneself should needs to be carried out before spreading the love to others. Some people forget the importance of self-love and their lives are in darkness with the partners.
This is the problem for some who lost their self-love. Because of this, their relationship will be greatly affected. The worst scenario, they might separated or even file a divorce case.
Yes that's true, they end up depending on the other person to make them happy or feel loved. Then when the person is not able to, they begin to loose love for them.
I also learned that we need to keep our confidence for being independent. If we are so dependent to our love and it did not work out, it will be a disaster.
