Yes, especially if it was not a good experience and event.. It's sort of saying forget it and move forward. Let the past be buried by its own.

Thank you for sharing, I understand what you mean. When I read the title, I immediately thought of a river with a bridge and water beneath it. At first I didn't understand what it meant, but it turned out to be an expression not to do useless things. LOL

The English language is very artistic and very figurative. A writer can make a good feature using idiomatic expressions and even in ordinary conversation. Like if you don't want to discuss irrelevant matters you can simply said that's water under the bridge.
Unfortunately, not everyone understands this expression. If suddenly I say water under the bridge in the middle of a conversation with them, they will think I'm weird or maybe crazy because it doesn't connect to the conversation. LOL

It only refers to things that had already occured in the past and worth forgetting.
Sure, no need revisiting the past. Move on and allow life gets better.
That's right I agree with you. However the past can never be fixed. Just take a valuable lesson and move on from it. There is no need to drag on in grief because of an unpleasant past.
That's my point , no need stating down over the past.

The Past will always leave an imprint or scar but it shouldn't be dwelt on often that it hinders us from moving forward and welcoming future events.
That's right I agree with you. We have to move on and find a way to let go of the past. One of them is by looking for activities that make us not have time to remember the past.
