I think the biggest mistake centers around secondary education. If you've got a plan, college is great. If you don't know exactly what you're doing, collecting student loans doesn't make a lot of sense.
I'm definitely doing it here, as that's the whole purpose of this forum. As for my others forum, I'll dabble with paid posting. I don't have any regular posters though.

Doesn't make much sense replying to payment proof topics that are over a year old, so we're just going to turn that off entirely.
I don't see $1,000 doing much towards starting a business, so I'll go with the stock market if it's this or that. In real life, I would just stick it into a high yield savings account though. Take advantage of interest rates while they're high.
I've been salaried for the majority of my time in the workforce, so I've had a fixed income more often than not. I would choose being hourly though, which means my income would vary.
