Most bloggers seem to go for high volume keywords, but the competition on those can be very high especially in the health, money and technology niches.

Some do suggest that new bloggers try low volume keywords instead as these have less focus on them and thus, are easier to rank for. Have you ever tried this or seen it implemented successfully?

Is there any point in being 1 of 1, or let me put this another way around do you value the first position when there is no other competitor. Low volume keywords are not good

If you want your website to be successful and you want to see traffic, focusing on low-volume keywords is definitely not good for that and you should be focusing on the high-volume keywords instead.

Yes, it means competition and it means more work but it will all be worth it when things start to move in the right direction.

It is better to observe which one generates traffic high or low keywords and after you find out what people are attracted to that is the time to concentrate on the people's choice. But for me, it is best to use strong keywords, people will be intrigued to find them out.

Low volume keywords can generate targeted organic traffic by matching niche user intent precisely. Promoting low competition terms can win top rankings faster too. However, advertising costs and potential conversion volumes remain limited. Balance long-tail niche keywords for relevancy while pursuing higher volume head terms intermittently to expand visibility more aggressively in balance.
