Are toothpicks bad for teeth?

Many people use it everyday after meal. You can find it in restaurants at tables or in stores. Usually are cheap. We use toothpicks remove food stuck between teeth but some say it is bad for teeth and flesh around teeth.

Do you often us toothpicks? Do you consider it bad for teeth health?

Toothpick is fine and I don't think its bad for health as we are not eating it and its just used to clean the stuck food in our teeth so I don't see anything wrong about it.

haha I don't see anyone running with it but I see some people have the habit to keep it in between their lips like if they are smoking a cigarette

I saw few kids run with it but I never saw man with cigar and toothpick together.

Nothing would ever make me use them on my teeth. I don't want to risk having tooth problems.

I brush my teeth and still sometimes I need to use toothpick.

I do not use toothpicks because they can harm my gums. After brushing I use dental floss to clean my teeth.

You can eat it in different forms and later you will not need toothpicks. Also cheewing longer can help.

i have never really thought a tooth pick can be bad for your teeth. I use it everyday and i find it helpful to use it. Its a struggle getting to those corners in your mouth. Sometimes a mouth wash cant do the trick hey.

Really. Wow. I never really thought there was a danger in using a toothpick. How about a dental floss? Is it safe to use?

Same as toothpicks. You must be careful with it. It can spread you teeths more than usuall if you use it to often.

Yeah theres also that issue. So exactly how do we go about cleaning teeth without the risk of damaging them?

In some extreme cases toothpicks can broke your meat if you dig to much. Also kids sometimes swallow top of toothpick if they accidentaly borke it. They don't spill than swallow.
