Yes, this is one of the ways to keep workers motivated although it is mandatory as per the labor laws here.

I think that depends on the company that one deals with. Some are generous enough to give food to the staffs.

You are right feeding the employees will be very expensive and it need a lots of money per person to fee them, and if the organization have many workers then it is impossible, but like you said giving them some snack will be better.

Only in malls and stores providing their workers free snacks mooning and afternoon only. The workers bring their home cooked food.

Larger companies with more than 500 employees are making a good profit so they are often providing free or subsidized meals, smaller companies make less money so they do not provide free meals.

I think it boils down to having a kind boss in place. Some very kind small business owners still do give their workers free lunch. So sometimes it's about the boss one is working with

Sales workers in stores are free of snacks twice a day but snacks only no free lunch.

Maybe you are working in a bakery or confectionery would you be able to have some free snacks. Apart from that, you are on your own.
