Years ago I was never afraid of walking in the dark but so much has changed now and you never know who could be lurking around in the dark.
there used to be a time when certain areas were bad but now, everywhere has its issues. Unless I need to go out, I tend to stay indoors where I am safe when it's dark.
I don't consider myself plagued by an outright phobia, there's an undeniable apprehension that accompanies walking alone in poorly lit areas at night. Every shadow and sound becomes amplified, setting my imagination racing with worst-case scenarios. However, I've learned to temper these fears through prudent precautions like sticking to well-populated routes and avoiding isolated spots after sundown.
