When I was in primary and secondary school, I was a timid individual. However, I broke free for being that person when I entered my university. I was trained not to shy away from myself in public.
When I was in primary school, I was a shy person. But in high school, we have training in public speaking. Making presentations in class etc. When I was working, since I worked in the marketing field, I had to do a lot of public speaking at conferences.
I used to be shy during elementary and high school. However, I overcame my shyness in college. Still, I sometimes feel nervous when speaking in public.
I have always been the shy type, even now I am usually shy to speak out but in situations where I need to speak out, I don't shy away from it. I think the better word would be that I am an introvert.
