I was hesitant to join RIF when a friend asked to join it. I was not sure how the site is but when I joined it, I found it one of the best site I joined.

Yeah, it is usually really painful for a site to go scam when they have not paid you. It feels really discouraging after all the work you have put in to earn the amount you reached. That had discouraged many from working online anymore.
