Are you investing in the bank?

A lot of people are investing in Gold, Silver and all. As for me, I just want to start investing in so many things. I am planning to invest in a bank that will give me 18% monthly.

Do you think that makes sense and are you cool with bank investments?

I am investing to gold jewelries but I have not deposited to any banks. I just keep them and let them be collected at home.

I do not have an investment with my bank at the moment but the idea of investing is something I am open to.

I was only investing in a micro finance but l withdrawn my assets because l stopped that venture.

Actually I don't have any knowledge on bank inveatment but I have some unit of stock in banks but it's not much I think that is the only investment I can really remember

Banks in our country are publically traded companies and I have invested in banks through stock market

Gold rates always increase so I would like to invest in it for the future profit.

Is it like a fixed deposit? I think that rate is too high for a fixed deposit? Hope you have done your verification well. I hardly see fixed deposits with such interest. Always hovering around 10% to 12% in Nigeria.

Here the interest rate for fixed deposit is 7% which is negligible. One may do this only when someone has extra money and don't want to invest money anywhere.

The only investment I had in the bank is owning some unit of shares in the stock market it's give me both dividend and profit when I sold it out at mature level

@Ofonime don't you have mutual funds. Do you keep all your money in the saving account?

Yes, just go ahead invest in anything that you are sure will yield you good income. This is no bad idea

If you can read my previous post I wrote that I don't invest in the bank except the last time I bought some unit of shares someone suggested me mutual funds but yet to venture into it

I am not sure if there is any option that can fetch us 18% and if there is then I would like to try it too as normally we cannot expect this high return unless we are taking a bigger risk

There are so many investment in the bank but I never tried one so I think mutual funds is what am planing to go into I own some unit of shares else were but not in the bank

I am unsure if a time deposit counts as an investment. I have tried it in the past and made some money. If I have extra cash to spare, I will consider doing it again.

It's depositing in bank and not investment and yes we can get guaranteed returns but these are low as compared to stocks

For me l am really not yet started with the investing in the banks for sure. It's something that l have never thought about.

I think it's just depositing in different banking products like fixed deposit and Recurring deposit so it's not bad and safe too
