No, I am not on it but I have heard about it on the forums. People earn well from the site upwork. What sort of tasks do they ask to do from the users. Are you there on it?

I joined upwork recently as a graphic designer but i am yet to make any sales there. I had dropped two proposals but no positive results yet. I am still hoping things would be alot easier as time goes on.

Why did you drop the proposals? I dont work on Upwork because I don't have the skills they ask for on such sites where they ask to do small tasks. How much do they pay for the tasks?

I have an account in this platform. But I never tried to find a job or jobs here. I do not have enough time to explore it. Speaking of being reminded, I will check it later.

That's why I don't try such sites where you need to find the task and complete it in a specific period. I have a very stressful offline job and doing such tasks consume time which is difficult to take out when you have a regular job.

I have an account on the site but yet to get a job. The established members on the site isn't helping us the newbies as they get all the jobs with their reputations

Even with the right skills earning there is difficult for newbies. As you would need to show your portfolio of previous jobs.

I remember there was a site "micro worker" on which I registered when someone mentioned that one can earn on it after doing small tasks but I could never able to earn from it as the tasks were difficult for me.

I don't have plans at present to join this but I cannot deny that it's a very good option to earn and you can register on the website as a designer or any other skill you have and if you have good rating then you can earn more

Bit you need to have some specific skill to earn well from this site otherwise you cannot earn anything from them. Many software engineers earn well from it as many tasks involve programming or something related to software engineering.

I see even those that are good at data entry and don't mind working hard to earn are registered on upwork but we need to choose the jobs wisely as many times the person who is contacting us for work could be a scam.

I noticed there are also many standby writers in Upwork waiting too for clients to accept the bid. You also need to check the bidding fees to suit yours or else, no one would want to hire you if your bidding fee is higher than others despite you are good than them.

Yes that is important because sometime your fees is bit higher than others so there are chance you may not get a chance. I never tried it, I was told by Jlyn on ML about it she said she earns well from it.

I haven't registered but I have read and heard about these things on different websites and these are expected because it's like a Freelancing wens that you can try and earn from it but it won't gonna be easy.

You are absolutely correct. I did not prosper on that site, so I quit, but after 4 months I received an email telling me to come back because there is a company that wants to hire me to write technical reports. I was about to come back to Upwork, but I noticed that the pricing was changed. I charged $12 for a technical writer, but I saw the figure reduced to $8, so I no longer entertained their emails.

You could have negotiated the fees and asked them that you won't reduce them. Sometimes communicating with the clients helps. I never tried it as don't have a time to do such work.

@Sanjee , for me, that is already a sign of a fraudulent act. The site must have told me about the adjustment done by them without my knowledge to convince me, but they did not do it. I do like it disrespecting me as the writer. That company is huge meaning the site Upwork could have another initial figure prior to mine. They are the ones negotiating. It should only be between me and the company.

I did here too but the tasks were hard and the Psy for my country per task was just too low abd this is the same job other countries got more.
