In all free countries and free economies, there is a body that looks after trade and commerce activities. It is a non-governmental body that safeguards the rights of the business community. It also lobbies to create better laws for the business communities. Are you a part of the local chamber of commerce? have you benefitted anything by becoming a member of the local chamber of commerce?

Where my business is registered is Coperate Affairs Commission CAC in my country. They are the same thing like COC.

I am not a member of any Chamber of Commerce. I work in the translation field. I am a member of Hong Kong Translation Society. It is a non-profit making organization with an aim to enhance the translation standards of translation professionals. It also disseminates information about job opportunities to members from time to time.

It is good if you allowed your business to register with the local chambers of commerce and industry. It would afford your businezz many opportunity at the grassroots and national level. It is good initiative.

We are not registered with the chamber of commerce but we have thought about that as we grow in business.
