As a business owner are you on salary?

I met a coach who said business owners should put themselves on salary, that this would help them save more and not spend all of their profits. Personally i think putting yourself on salary is a good idea, it would help you save and at the same time better manage your income.

For me j would give myself salary all the time. I know putting oneself on salary is a very good idea as it help one save and spend less money at the same time

I pay myself from what the business makes every month as the owner but I am not on an fixed salary.
