In my country, being an auto mechanic is an informal skill that is learnt through apprenticeship. It's good to know that is a professional career in your country.

There is a four-year course here BS in Automotive Shop and the students become skilled. They will learn to drive cars, ten-wheelers, and big trucks and to repair different kinds of running wheels.

Any mechanic that would tell you that he doesn't have money is lying to you. A mechanic that knows his onions has money on a daily basis. It is only quack mechanics that are broke.

Mechanic jobs are segmented into parts. And all of them are highly lucrative. I know of a person that just repairs air conditioners of cars and he is living very good.

jobs would continue to come in as long as they are automobile ane vehicles to be repaired , this is why automobile technician would still be relevant for a very long time

I think that the very key to doing this business successfully is to be sincere and highly skillful. When your patrons know that you are very sincere, they would always recommend you to their friends.

Yeah, most automotive mechanics I know in this part of the world specialises in a particular brand of car. There are people who specialises in Mercedes Benz and there are others that specialises in Toyota.

I won't call it a survivor business..I believe it is a profession and I have seen people build successful careers as auto mechanics.

Indeed it is a profession, i have also come across persons who are passionate about this, and they have been able to grow this business to a stage where they can completely rely on it.

Probably, it is a very good profession that a lot of people have been able to excel in. Some people have been able to become successful through it.
