Banking job vs Insurance Job- Which would you rather take?

Banking and insurance jobs are two jobs that are in the financial sector. Both jobs involve money. Banking involves managing and keeping of money while insurance involves management of financial risks.

Given a chance to choose between the two closely related jobs, which one would you choose based on stress level, higher incentives, career growth and other career related parameters? I would take insurance ahead of banking.

I think a banking job would give you more in depth exposure to the financial sector. And the banking sector is wider than the insurance sector. I would pick a banking job over an insurance job.

I would prefer a banking job. Although banking and insurance are both in the financial sectors, I think banks offer better prospects for career advancement, more competitive salary and fringe benefits.

I prefer to be a banker than involving myself to insurance per se. It is hard to work and offer insurances to people. At least, I can be more productive working in a bank.

Provided that I am not tasked with analysing matters, I would take a job in banking. I would want to be positioned as an administrator. This way, I would avoid the stress involved in analysis.

I do not have any experience working in a bank or working in an insurance company. However, based on my observation, I think you can earn better with insurance jobs if you are a good marketer.

Insurance jobs are not readily available when compared to banking jobs, but it is a quote easy one to go for when compared with banking jobs. So I will go for insurance.

I think that banking jobs are more tedious than insurance jobs. Insurance is also a lot less complex because it doesn't have to deal with rigorous balancing of accounts. I would take an insurance job over banking.

For me though i do not think i would be willing to take anyone between the two. Cause i do not really like anything that has to do with calculations

I will always pick banking job over insurance jobs , insurance jobs depend on how much you can influence people to insure their properties with you and sometimes they do have monthly Target and expect their staff to always meet the target .

Banks don't have targets monthly? Bank targets for marketers are very crazy. It is those that are in the marketing department that are given these targets though. I think insurance companies are less stressful.

I think I would prefer a career in banking to one in insurance strictly based on availability of opportunities.

If given a chance, I want to pursue a career in banking because I find it more interesting and I see many potential career opportunities in this field. Moreover, my aunt has worked in a large bank before, so I feel inspired to follow in her footsteps. Hehe
