Being a next of kin.

I saw a video lately made by a Nigerian skit maker that shows how it is to earn money for being a next of kin which there are a lot of people who are making use of it to be their source of income by just going about becoming next of kin to those who have money after earning their trust.

Even though that was made as a joke, a lot of the youths now have no plan for their life apart from living as a "next of kin". It's actually a by product of parents raising their children to be over dependent.

For you to benefit as a next of kin form someone's money it means the person needs to be out of the picture. I do not really like this method though. It is better to find other better means.

True words as I have seen so many young boys and girls with the entitlement mindset especially if their parents wealth and properties always making the remarks that their parents would die and pass it on to them and so they don't need to stress to work and gain money or anything.

A lot if them do not even know how important next of kin is. Some people do not even know what the meaning is. And it will be good for them to take it seriously because you never can tell us what will happen

Inheritance can be a good income source, however, it is not a passive income source, it is rather a residual income source. BY the way, I have inherited a farm from my parents.

This is puzzling. Why would a person designate me a next of kin if I am not actually related to him/her either by blood or through marriage? I guess those capitalising on this idea are applying some uncommon strategies to achieve their passive money making objectives.

That's just it, though there is nothing wrong in working hard and creating an easy life for you and your children but at the same time, make sure you teach them the importance of working hard and how to manage what they earn.

I really do not understand this whole concept of earning as a next of Kin. How in particular does he earn as a next of kin because i have never seen anyone earning through this means.

Next of kin would benefit only after those whose next of kin they are leave this world

I am the nearest kin of my parents, but never dare to take advantage the situation.

I don't even know if I am next if kin to any of my parents. I don't even care. If I am, my life would be made after the they are gone.

It is not a good method of earning since the person has to be dead for you to benefit as a next of kin. I have heard stories of people killing others in order to inherit the money. That is just not good.
