Of course currently there are other adnetworks that can be used to make money on sites but I don't think there can compete with AdSense. I do value paid ads on a site it comes with high income

Propeller ads has been renamed as monetag, but many publishers are complaining that their account is disabled. Popads is paying publishers, but some are making only $0.01 or lower daily. So publishers have to keep looking for new ad networks.

I also struggled to get approved by Google AdSense and tried many other ad networks that didnt pay well. Then I discovered Ezoic which is a platform that optimizes your ads and increases your revenue. You should give it a try and see the difference.

I've also seen praise of Ezoic these days for sites that are actually performing poorly on Adsense. Some people claim the ads eventually make their sites slow down significantly.
