Can i make money with free blogging platforms?

There are dozens of free blogging platforms that one can use to start blogging without spending money buying domain and hosting. Some of the free blogging platforms includes blogger, wordpress, wix etc.
Now, am not financial capable to start paying for domain and hosting of my site. Can free blogs help to start blogging business!

You can make money with blogger but know that the site isn't yours. it is owned by Google. but you can still make money

Better apply to a blog site that pays bloggers. I am not a fan of Word Press.

You need tons of traffic to your blog then monetise it with Google Adsense or other add network

We can make money with free blogging platforms and I have tried it before but I only see blogspot as the only option

Yes you can but if is still good to get a paid hosting if you can no matter the little amount you can pay to get one.

Technically speaking, you can make money with a free hosted website. For instance, you can run amazon ads on a free WordPress website and if someone buys through your link you can make money. Likewise, you can use adsnese on blogspot and earn from adsense.
