Can someone be taught to be a leader? I know in cases, being taught can help people become better leaders in the job they are in, and in life. While some others, like a brother of mine, is naturally great at being a leader in his job.

Years of experience on a particular job can effectively prepare an employee for leadership. That's why it is always best to elevate your staff from the ground level to leadership level.
Yes they can, i have also seen cases where the company personally train most of their best workers and leaders to be who they are today, but the truth of the matter is not every company would be willing to do this. This is because majority of them do not have the time nor resources to carry out this action.
There are born leaders and they are trained leaders. It is possible for a company to train its staff to be a leader. This is done through continuous exposure and training. And giving them small leadership responsibilities.
I think charismatic leaders are born. But people can also be trained to be a good leader by giving them more job responsibilities such as working as project leader, or taking leadership program.
Yes there are persons born with the natural talents, but even does who work hard can compete with does with the natural talent. The most important thing is hard work. I have seen a lot of persons who have been trained on the job but are doing extremely well.
