I think it is. My grandparents used to have piggeries in the countryside. They did earn a lot during that time. They have less expense for the feeds because they have rice mills during those days.

Pigs consume a lot of grains, such as barley, corn, as well as soybean, as part of their diet. From what I know, the grains producing industry have been hit really hard, since Russia is the 3rd largest grain producer in the world. This cost grains prices to hike, putting even more stress onto the shoulders of pig farming farmers. I think now would not be a good time to enter the piggery business.
