Owning a gym or running one is one of the most lucrative business out there that so many persons are not even aware of. The major challenge faced by most gym owners is the capital needed to startup. To setup a standard gym the you need lots of money to buy the equipments.

For me l would say this as per my opinion, The gym business is challenging in my country as most people would like to work out on their own at home. So the business would lack enough customers for it's sustainability.

Yes and most gyms today have various membership plans, so they are making good money. You are lucky to meet an honest gym owner. Some of them will just keep collecting and collecting but will never invest back to the gym. You will find all sort of faulty equipments there.

That business would actually require heavy capitation because the required machines and equipment are very expensive to purchase and maintain for that matter. One must dig so deeper in their pockets to manage the business.

It is not just invest than maintaince. Most people will not clean after workout like sweat from bench or weights. So you must warn them or clean after them. Some gyms are not clean enough even they have equipment and people avoid them.

Same here, there is one that recently open in my area, it has not been up to a year and the gym already has lots of customers. The equipments you have will also determine how the business will go as well, cause people pay for only good equipment.

I have never owned any gyms but I know someone who owns multiple gym centers in my town. One of the major challenges is investment. You need a lot of money to start.

One gym in my area broke after few months. Main coach and owner was mostly on social media (not work, than private), didn't care about cutomers. Worst problems were to big groups so people couldn't do all excercises properly. Some people say worst was do jumping jacks were you spread arms and legs and almost hit each other.

Multiple gyms? That's pretty impressive. Starting one alone is not an easy feat, especially if it's a standard one. Managing all can also be an issues sometimes. That's cool though.
