Diesel generators replaced with battery systems at Schiphol Airport

Amsterdam is trying to reduce carbon emissions in Airports, now Schiphol Airport has replaced Diesel generators with battery systems, which will provide provide ground power for planes.​

It is a very good step because the price of diesel is now very expensive and not everybody can afford it. They took a good step

I think the use of batteries would be economical compared to the use of diesels and it is also environmental friendly.

I still prefer the batteries and they will charge them when there is light. The cost of diesel may be too much.

This is a good one, they are simply trying to make the air more safer for people to breathe. If its a chargeable battery it would even help them save more.

I think that the use of battery would be economical compared to diesel consumption.

This would not just help the environment but I believe it would help to reduce the cost of production because the price of diesel is very high world over. This could be a cost effective approach.

I am in full support of anything that can be done in order to reduce the adverse effect of pollution that we are having in the world today, so this is a good development in my opinion.

Haha, this is also an issue with my mom. According to her she says the generator noise is very disturbing so she would rather stay without the generator if she does not need it than put it on and deal with the noise.

To an extent it is a very good step towards development and advancement in the airport as it regards to the lighting and power supply without noise as the diesel generators are capable of producing noise sounds in the airport.

It is actually the reason why the landlord of my house banned any tenants from making use of generators. I am not making use of solar inverter.

Well, I would not say that the idea is good or bad but I would have been very happy if I was in that compound because I don't like noise at all and that place will be the best for me
