In terms of selecting leaders or managers in a business setup, is usually a sensitive matter. This is because selecting the wrong person can easily bring down your business If care is not taken. Due to this most business owners tend to go for does they believe are hard workers or do not joke with their jobs. Do hard workers automatically make you a good leader? Or there other qualities one needs to look out for as well?

I do not agree with it that if a person is hardworking he could be a good manager. What matters are the skill and the knowledge the person acquired inside the classroom .

The person that carries loads in the market works hard. Would you hand over your entire organisation for him to manage because he works hard? Managing a business requires skills which must be learned overtime.

Some people can work many hours but being leader is not just work. You must know bring decisions and talk with people. I know few people, great workers, but they can do everything but talk with others and bring decision no.

I think so. Hard workers will make better leaders and managers. You need to work hard to become successful as a manager or business leader.

Zeal without knowledge can't profit anything. If the hardworking staff doesn't have proper knowledge, nothing deserving to make him or her a good leader.

I think hard work is not enough to be a good leader, but he must be smart in solving a business problem. Hard workers are not necessarily smart, but smart people are definitely hard workers.
