That was my first try to volunteer as a judge in a kids' contest of painting. They just served me snacks and I was feeling so honored. I was invited to judge for free three times and after that, my name was famous and was invited to schools and paid well hehehe, gracias!!!
This is interesting, you can still go in for more if the opportunity presents itself. it is a fun way of making money

That is right, and that way, I met the officials in my community, and every time there is a contest, I am always present and one time became the Chairman of the board of judges hehehe, and with pay already.

Yes, mate to dream is free. Sometimes I want to imagine things that are impossible to reach. lol
Some even do it for the passion. Some do it for recognition. The thing is that they must pay something or else I am not doing. It may not be huge but pay something.

It depends on the contest the sponsors, location, if it's sponsored by schools, the pay is right especially organizations like Rotary club , Toastmasters club or YMCA pay is lucrative. There are also who like to volunteer just to get recognition and experience. But there'll be free snacks.
Wow what a revelation, does the organizer somehow decide or influenced you for the result of a contest, like the beauty contest?

No hehe the sponsors are Coca-Cola Bottlers Company and Rotary Club. That was contest on Drum and Buggle, and we also joined the parade. It was held at the Marcos Sports Complex. There were 8 judges hehe. I was the adviser of the Rotaract Club and the president endorsed me. Feeling lucky that time.
It suppose to be expensive because judges in any contest or competition must be a professional in that field. Therefore, it suppose to be costly because the judges are experts and professionals in their diverse field
