There are many companies that may have fixed hours when it comes to opening any kind of business. This may be important because this may allow customers to come at the workplace at the right time.
Having a routine as a business helps to establish credibility with your clients, except if you run a very small business which offers special services. Even so, it's important that your customers know exactly when and how to contact you.
Well, this depends on what you have to offer in your business, in his own kind of business, it is also profitable opening it late at that time of the day when most might have closed for the day , it serves people at that time and also making more profit on the other hand.
Currently I do have a distribution business and it has no opening nor closing hours. However it's more professionally to have some fixed business operating time so that customers can make timely visits on your business.
Having a set time to open your business makes your customers to know when to find you. If you have irregular opening times, it would not help the business as people won't even take you serious or give you referrals.
In my game shop business, we open by 8 I'm the morning. And by 8:30, we are done with set up and business operations start. Sometimes though, people call us to come and open. Those kind of days, we end up opening much earlier.
My usual working hours run from roughly 8 am in the morning to some minutes to 6 pm in the evening. Daring emergencies, I may however find myself working outside of this period.

True this. Every business needs to be streamlined to the point that your customers know when you open. If you open today by 10 and tomorrow by 8, they won't be stable with you because they don't know your opening time for tomorrow.
This already is known in our business culture. Inb Nigeria, it is generally known and acknowledged that all businesses must have opened by 8.00 am. Therefor all official discussions are fixed above that time and before 5.00pm when most businesses would be preparing to close.
