It is only government work that allows for study leave. You won't be promoted during that period but you would get your pay normally.

Nothing like this exist in my country. Here students are bound to move properly with University rules, if they can't give exam then allow to give it in other semester with certain rules.

It's really very hard to find something like that even with the government employees. I think it can be granted upon request.

There is a study leave only for workers in the academe who are qualified or passed the qualifying tests to pursue their masteral and doctorate degrees abroad usually in the United States, Japan, Australia.
