Urdu is a very popular language in Muslim countries and in India too people speak and some are good at writing but not very popular in my state.

Urdu is very popular in India but in our state it's not very popular these days schools don't teach this language and kids are not interested to learn too

Then you must be aware of it as majority of Muslims speak Urdu

Urdu is basically popular in people where there is majority of Muslims and even in Africa there are Muslims in large number so that's why Heat man is aware of this language

Urdu is an indian language among the muslim people i know a little bit was curious to learn but i can't read

Urdu seems similar to Hindi, I can understand Hindi well, so I can also understand Urdu, except for some typical words of course.

I do not know urdu, though many urdu words are used in hindi, which I am familiar with. The urdu script is different.

I have never even heard of such a language called Urdu. Which tribe is the language native to?

The funny thing is this is actually my first time hearing about this language. I always thought Hindi was the only language in India.
