Do you Prefer to Find a job on jobs portal or Through Newspaper?

There are different ways to find the best job us and most people prefer to check the job search websites and a large percentage still prefer the newspaper.

I got all my jobs through placement and consultant services or a website. I never got a job through the newspaper. Mostly people search through the websites here, newspaper has become obsolete these days.

Yes Newspaper is less popular these days. Earlier I used to See a Newspaper in which only jobs were posted, Employment Exchange but I think it's discontinued and no more available but these were so popular back in the day

Jobs portal are better because we can find any type of jobs on these and can check anytime and in case of a Newspaper we can check only daily when newspaper arrives and not anytime we want so job portal has an edge

We don't read newspapers these days so how come we know about the jobs which are advertised in it. Also there are less job available in the newspaper whereas when your resume is uploaded on a website, receivers search your resume automatically through the resume bank and call you.

Yes that's correct and that's why most people prefer job portal websites and apps and find their desirable jobs through it and in a way newspaper jobs are for those that are in requirement of a low profile job.

Also the placements and consultant are very helpful for searching a job. I remember I got my first two jobs through them but they take registration fees. It is frustrating when take a fee and don't send you for an interview anywhere.

I prefer online job portal you get very current job listings on them and you can actually applied through their links to get the job.

That's true. One can directly apply through the link instead of sensing your resume and talking to the recruiter over the phone. Also through websites there are chances they directly shortlist your resume and call you back.

It has been a long time that I tried to hunt jobs through a newspaper. In fact, I found my new job by searching on Facebook. It is also similar to my former company. Newspaper is not that popular anymore.

Now time is changed, I prefer to find on official website. Most of today's are finding on official website, and this is better. Even forms are available online, so it is always better to find online instead of running here and there.

Same here I don't even see vendors even selling newspaper now. Everything is now is on the internet. So it you are not here you have missed out.
