While I can do basic hand sewing like reattaching a loose button or mending a small tear, I don't have the skill or patience for intricate hand-sewn garment construction. The dexterity and evenness of stitching required to sew entire clothing pieces by hand is incredibly impressive to me. I much prefer the speed and consistency of a sewing machine for any major projects beyond quick fixes.
